Brought my single speed Langster in for them to have a look at. Chainline wasn’t straight and re-aligning the wheel wasn’t solving the problem. Trouble was of the two assistants I spoke to, only one seemed to speak English, and he wasn’t really understanding me.
He initially seemed to understand, but when I attempted clarification, he then said he couldn’t do it. Apparently, in addition, they aren’t able to do headsets; Unless this was also a misunderstanding.
If you DO choose to attend this shop be absolutely certain you are all understanding one another. They were perfectly polite, but my impression is this isn’t a place for bike repairs.
Cycle Surgery has gone and so has Evans. The Giant store is unwilling to even talk to you for less than £100.
The outlook is bleak.
